Style Snippet: Smoke And Films

Sunday, 24 January 2016
I decided to post this today, rather than on Wednesday because I love the photos. Basically me and Lukke went out to film bits for his short film and photography; it was a shoot all about adventure, memories and smoke bombs.

Failed.

Trousers: Next
Jumper: Charity Shop
Hat: New Look
Backpack: TK Maxx
Shoes: Converse

Lukkes project is all about adventure and capturing it and he's been looking at smoke bombs. They are really fun to use but hard to get hold of and light. I think they have a really cool effect on the photos though.

Anyway, for the outfit I went for something completely out of my comfort zone. I usually stick to tight fitting clothing because I feel like baggier things make me look weird because I'm so short. I've had these chinos from Next for ages and I absolutely love the look of cigarette trousers, like Keira Knightly on that musical film! That made sense, hahaha. Yeah, I love the careless look, like 'oh I just chucked this together' but they always look amazing! I thought  I'd push myself with this look and wear an outfit that was a lot baggier and a bit less flattering.
For Lukke's work he needed me to wear something a bit less styled to make it look natural, so I thought it was the perfect time. The trousers are baggier than usual but they are still tailored so they flatter my short legs still. They are really comfy and I definitely want to try some more like this but maybe more highwaisted.
Then the jumper is just perfect. Its so comfy and I think the contrast of navy and cream works amazingly. It just looks put together and it's a classic combination so it makes the look easier to wear.

Hope you like the photos! Whats a style you want to branch out and try?

  2. These are truly gorgeous pictures. The atmosphere seems to be amazing in the woods there and the smoke bombs just add to that.
I´m a really big fan of that hat too. I love the pop of colour it brings to the outfit. I have one a bit darker than this that I wear all the time!

  6. Woah, amazing pictures! Those smoke bombs look so cool, I love your beanie too! I'm the opposite, I like loose clothing rather than tight but I'm tall haha.
