Style Snippet: Fave Summer piece Transitioned

Sunday, 6 December 2015
So you might have seen me raving about this shirt during the summer because I absolutely loved it!! I thought I'd show how I've been transitioning it so it is my appropriate for cooler weather. I feel like I got in a rut with my posts thinking that I was only able to post an outfit/piece once, when really I often wear things to death. I want to start being more realistic with what I post and if I find a new way to style something I'll show it! Hi I'm Sophie and I am a huge outfit repeater.

Shirt: Zara
Jumper: Suplex Apparel
Jeans: Topshop Leighs
Shoes: New Balance 420's
Hat And Scarf: New Look

I find that shirts can be worn all year round for all different occasions; they are easy to transition from warm to cool and from day to night. I absolutely love this Zara shirt and there's so many like it in Topshop, New Look and even Primark. It's a simple stripe shit with a bit of different stripe detail on the pocket; it has tortoise shell, style buttons and is tailored along the back. It's so flattering and easy to throw on.
During the summer I wore it with jeans and a vest top on colder days; when it's left open it's airy and keeps you cool while still adding some warmth on the arms. I kept with the same monochrome base for the outfit but I buttoned the shirt up to add a layer of warmth on my chest and added some knit wear pieces. I think this is such an easy idea to transition pieces because knit wear is easy and cute. Also I added this sports jumper over the top. This is simple and adds a sporty vibe to the look. I think sport jumpers work so well because they look casual, especially when they are oversized, but you can get them so cheap in vintage shops. With the stripe collar popping out it changes a more laid back outfit into something a bit more put together.

How do you style pieces, that you bought in summer, in the winter?
