Collabmas: Weekend In Outfits With TheFlowerThatBlooms

Sunday, 20 December 2015

I teamed up with Lauren and Rachel from TheFlowerThatBlooms to put together this 'Weekend In Outfits' and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Top: Primark
Pinafore: Primark
Jacket: Topshop
Since I'm constantly wearing jeans at college, a go-to comfy outfit for me is this cord pinafore dress. It goes perfectly with a long sleeve top and I found this navy blue one in Primark for just £6, it is so comfy too! It's been getting pretty cold lately so I've been living in this thick jacket that I found in Topshop not long ago. I think it was around £45 and usually I'd be hesitant when spending that much on a jacket but I love the over-sized look it has and it's so comfy! It was also the only one in my size, fate right?! It pretty much goes with anything and I think it helps an outfit like this look a bit more casual. I finished the outfit with my black Dr Marten boots. I wear these with pretty much everything and I love how they look with any dress!

Jumper: H&M
Jeans: Topshop
Coat: New Look (A few years old!)

Usually a comfy outfit for me would involve a baggy dress, I've always found jeans to be quite uncomfortable. That was until I bought these Joni jeans! They're so stretchy and cosy, if anything they make me feel like I'm wearing leggings! I decided to pair them with this grey jumper (if you read our blog, you may have seen the green version in our November favourites post!) it's baggy but a good kind of baggy. It doesn't swamp me and it's not so thick that I'll start sweating when I have a coat on! As usual my trusty docs complete the look, I bought these velvet ones a few years back now and they're so comfy!! I have a thing for velvet so out of all my pairs, these are my absolute favourites.

Shirt: Zara
Shorts: New Look
Vest: Primark
Necklace: H&M

I chose to wear a simple shorts and shirt look because I was having one of those 'I cant be bothered days'. I think shorts are perfect for this because they are really comfy, especially because of the tights. I do think the outfit still looks put together because of the shirt. I always wear this shirt, it has featured in quite a few blog posts because it's my go to! It's just so easy to throw on and always makes an outfit look a bit better. I think the suede is a great trend to add in because it adds so texture and is really on trend. Overall I went for the cosy, yet smart look. I think adding an oversized coat and chunky scarf would really finish the look off.

I'd just like to thank Lauren and Rachel for working on this collabmas with me. It was so fun to work with these girls because they are so lovely and helpful. We did a post (here) on their blog all about what to wear for a Christmas party. You should check it out!!
I absolutely love these girls and their blog! I remember them being one of the first I found and they really made me feel welcome into the community. They are full of personality and are so kind to everyone. Their blog is amazing and they even introduced me to Lush!!
