Style Snippet: Casual And Comfy

Thursday, 10 September 2015
I put together a really casual jeans and tee look with a sporty edge.

So here's my outfit in full, I just have my black joni jeans on and my baseball top. I got the top from one of those websites like Sheinside or something but I wouldn't recommend them because it took so long to come and a lot of the things weren't what I expected. This top was the best thing I bought from there though, so if you are I'd just check reviews and materials and spend a bit extra time before actually buying and you'd be fine.

The shape of this top is really flattering and comfy for those days when you just can't be bothered. It has slits up the side, which is really on trend at the moment but it's a bit more subtle than the midi style tops. It's just adds a bit of detail and makes the top flow more so it skims you belly. The slit also adds a high-low detail which covers your bum a bit so it's great if you're wearing leggings or jeans like these because they can be a bit tight on the bum and makes it a bit flatter ahah, no Kim K bum at all!!

Even if joni jeans restrict that Kim K bum, they are still really flattering and give you a more sleek look. I find because the top is quite flowy I like to wear something tighter on the bottom so I don't look like a sack. They suck you in and really flatter your lumpy areas but they aren't a proper jean material, they are more stretchy so they are really comfy and easy to move in. I would say that you probably shouldn't wear them if you're going out for a meal because the bloating does make you feel like a tightly packed sausage but other than that they are my favourite jeans for anytime.

Then for when the day gets a bit colder  I just add my everyday jacket and tartan scarf. These two are staples for me because they are so easy to just throw on and not think about. Navy and red go great together so I knew the tartan would be great to throw on and then this coat is just my go to, it's thin enough to not look overly bulky but then lined so you get the warms. It's also great for rain because of the hood and just looks cute with the gold hardware.

I just thought I'd add a little picture of my makeup look because I went for something slightly out of my comfort zone. I use my Avon Glimmer stick in a dark, khaki green and I actually really like it. It adds more definition to my eyes and makes my lashes look thicker, Grace said it also suits my eye colour, which brings the green out. It has a little bit of sparkle in, which is always nice and I just added a tiny bit of Collections eyeliner sparkles near the inner corner to brighten them up. I love this smoky look and I know I'll be wearing it a lot more.

Hope you enjoyed this post xo
