Style Snippet: An Autumnal Day

Sunday, 6 September 2015
So to start some of my autumn posts, I've put together a little day in the life with outfits about an autumnal walk.

This is Grace my best friend, she's actually only a bit over 5 ft but in all these photos she looks so tall!! I'll let her have her moment but I'm pretty sure she was stood on a hill.
Me, Lukke and Grace went for a little wander around some woods. I was originally going to take photos for a lookbook but we got lost and I only managed to make one change. Has anyone ever wondered how bigger bloggers photograph lookbooks because getting changed in a bush wasn't fun, it was cold!!

 This was my first outfit.
The dress is originally from Topshop but I got this, unworn bargain from Ebay for £4.50. I knew I wanted one of these T-shirt style smock dresses but I couldn't see any in stock, so I went on Ebay and found this gem. It's a great way to find clothes that have maybe gone out of stock because there's so many that people have just bought and never worn!
I added my mams cardigan because it's super snugly and I like the light grey and white knit. I added my signature bobble hat, from New Look and my Tartan scarf. I wore this hat all the time throughout school and I was known for wearing it by teachers. It just covers all your bad hair day sins and looks cute.
I love adding a hat and scarf to an outfit, it just adds more detail and texture. This look would have been so boring if I hadn't added them because it would have been all grey but you get the colour of the hat and the brighter, pop of tartan.

This second outfit is this cute cat dress from Asos, again I found it on Ebay because it had went out of stock. Some sellers buy clothes from companies, that they've made too many of or something so you can get brand new clothes that went out of stock for a bit cheaper. These ones aren't much cheaper because they are brand new off the companies but it's worth looking if you missed out on an item.
This dress is the only skater style dress, I've found, that actually suits me. I had to get it hemmed because it was a little too long but other than that its perfect! The top is a T-shirt style, which is flattering because it gives you some shape, and then it flows out with a lot of material around the waist. It has a fake leather trim around the waist, arms and neck line. I find this dress works so well because the material doesn't puff out a lot, it just hangs down and flows, so it doesn't look too much on my frame.
I love cat print clothes, I dont know why because im allergic to cats but having them on clothes is so cute! I love how it kind of looks like a polka dot pattern but up close you can see the faces, it's just a nice little detail that makes the dress a bit different. I love how Grey and white goes so well with tartan, it's a combination I'll be wearing so much over autumn/winter because it's so classic and makes the red stand out more. I think grey will be my new black this year because it's so easy to wear and style but it's not as scary as full on colour and can be paired with most colours.

I absolutely love Graces outfit because it includes autumn colours but a nice, bright pop of red.
The dress is from Waiste and it has the lovely paisley, red and yellow pattern. I think it works great for the autumn because it just adds some colour. Then she has this really cool, puffy, Parker jacket on. I love the colour because its this lovely, dark orange/yellow colour. It's so autumn-y and its really warm because it's fleeced lined and has a fake fur hood. Then her jumper is from Primark.
I love the whole outfit because it's a great way to transition your summer dresses; just add a jumper, tights and a coat and you're ready.

It was a great day just wandering around the woodland, I love autumn walks because you can get wrapped up and walk for hours without getting uncomfortably hot. Me and Grace dont really have any good photos together because all the ones from secondary school , we are pulling strange faces so now we try and get nice ones. However out of all the ones took we only got this one decent one because I either had a bong eye or wasn't looking and Grace was looking another way or her hair had blown all over her face. One day we will take a fab photo and it will be posted everywhere.

Hope you enjoyed this post xo
